Clematis varieties of the second pruning group (weak pruning) are very diverse, belong to different groups and therefore look different and require different growing conditions. Abilene, Evipo027

Clematis Abilene
A relatively new variety. It differs from most old large-flowered varieties by its stunted stature – Abilene shoots very rarely grow more than 150 cm. It is still unknown how well this clematis winters in the northern states of the USA.

The flowers are quite large, very spectacular.

Akaishi

Clematis variety “Ball of Flowers” was obtained in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden in 1968. It is not a very winter-hardy variety: in the conditions of Northern Europe and the northern states of the USA it is very difficult to preserve its shoots for early flowering. If the shoots freeze, the plants will still bloom on the shoots of the current year, but later and a little differently.
